ChronoTrack has been experiencing higher than usual chargeback volume from athletes that use the Discover card for payments. As a result, ChronoTrack has decided to eliminate the Discover card as a payment method for the foreseeable future as part of the ongoing effort to combat credit card fraud and safeguard the online payment process. Because the Discover card brand makes up a minimal volume of transactions on the ChronoTrack platform, ChronoTrack is not expecting an impact to the user experience on the platform.

The move to eliminate the Discover card as a payment method is also done to protect revenue for event directors. ChronoTrack’s policy is that chargebacks and associated fees that are processed against an event are the responsibility of the event and will be withheld and deducted from payments to ChronoTrack’s customers. ChronoTrack reserves the right to dispute or not dispute a chargeback.
